Rajesh Gupta is co-director of the newly-created Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute at UC San Diego. His research interests span topics in embedded and cyber-physical systems with a focus on sensor data organization and its use in optimization of timing and energy from algorithms, devices to systems that scale from IC chips, and data centers to built environments such as commercial buildings. Rajesh did his undergraduate education at IIT Kanpur and his graduate education at UC Berkeley and Stanford. He holds Qualcomm Endowed Chair in Embedded Microsystems and INRIA International Chair at the French international research institute in Rennes, Bretagne Atlantique. Gupta is a Fellow of the IEEE and the ACM.
