About Me:
Welcome! This is my research webpage and lists some of the projects I am
involved in and some of the work that I am doing.
Contact me in case of any queries!
I completed my PhD from the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the
University of California, San Diego in September 2009!
My advisor was Prof.
Rajesh Gupta and I am a member of the Micro
Electronic Embedded Systems Lab (MESL) and the
Systems and Networking Group @
CSE/UCSD.
I have also had the privilege to
actively collaborate with several stellar researchers from various top research
labs, and an awesome set of faculty and graduate students at UCSD!
Interests:
My interests lie in the area of Systems and Networking, Embedded Systems,
Mobile Computing.
I am particularly interested in building scalable and efficient systems, energy
management issues and wireless communication.
Currently I am looking at :
[1] “The Energy Dashboard: Improving the Visibility of Energy
Consumption at a Campus-Wide Scale". [PDF]
Yuvraj Agarwal, Thomas Weng and Rajesh K. Gupta.
To Appear at First ACM Workshop on Embedded
Sensing Systems For Energy-Efficiency In Buildings (BuildSys ’09),
November
2009.
[2] “Somniloquy: Augmenting Network Interfaces to
Reduce PC Energy Usage”. [PDF]
Yuvraj Agarwal, Steve Hodges, James Scott,
Ranveer Chandra, Paramvir Bahl, and Rajesh Gupta.
In Proceedings of USENIX Symposium on
Networked Systems Design and Implementation (NSDI ’09),
April 2009.

Multi-Clients, Multi-Radio Environment”. [PDF]
Yuvraj Agarwal, Trevor Pering, Roy
Want, and Rajesh Gupta.
In
[5] “WirelessWakeups Revisited: Energy Management for
VoIP over WiFi Smartphones”. [PDF]
Yuvraj Agarwal, Ranveer Chandra,
AlecWolman, Paramvir Bahl, and Rajesh Gupta.
In
[6] “CoolSpots: Reducing the Power Consumption
of Wireless Mobile Devices with Multiple Radio Interfaces”. [PDF]

Current Research Collaborators :
I am very lucky to have some amazing colleagues and faculty
advisors at CSE/UC-San
Diego to work with! I am currently actively
collaborating with Thomas Weng, Patrick Verkaik,
Gjergji Zyba,
Alex Snoeren,
Geoff Voelker,
Stefan Savage and other members of
the SysNet group
on a few
projects. Additionally I actively collaborate with the following researchers at
the leading industry research labs!
