POSITION OPEN: GRADUATE ASSISTANT FOR COSMOS PROGRAM

This is a one month position, with a possible one month extension as a preparation period to assist high-schoolers in the Embedded Systems cluster of the UCSD COSMOS program. The actual program runs from July 6 through August 2. If you are available, we will consider an appointment from end of Spring quarter or beginning June 1. The time prior to the cluster program will be used in planning and preparing course material for the class. During the COSMOS period, you will attend the main lecture and help the students (along with a full time teachers fellow and another graduate student) in leading discussions and helping students in the laboratory assignments. Knowledge and experience with C programming, basics of computer hardware (logic design, computer architecture) are required. Experience with microcontrollers and their programming is a plus. The appointment will be 50% time GSR.
